SENIOR INFORMATION SECURITY GOVERNANCE, RISK & ASSURANCE LEAD

We have one of the largest teams of Cyber Security professionals in Australia, with more than 500 people working to design, implement and manage our industry leading networks, and when required, respond to security incidents for our customers.
A new opportunity has been created for a Senior Information Security Governance, Risk, and Assurance professional to partner with the business to manage Information Security for key projects. Your role will include providing cyber security and risk leadership to ensure successful delivery of key programs and projects in line with Telstra Information Security standards incorporating a risk based approach.
As a Senior Information Security Governance Risk and Assurance Lead, your focus will be partnering with key business, project and Cyber Security stakeholders to lead projects in effectively managing their security activities, requirements and risks and driving security outcomes whilst supporting the business objectives. You will also have the opportunity to play a leading role in the design and execution of an uplifted Security and Risk Assurance model.
To secure this role, you will need
- Experience leading security and risk management programs in diverse and complex environments
- High level information security and risk
- Experience making security and risk decisions, influencing and negotiating skills with senior stakeholders including other security teams
- Experience presenting and communicating complex security and risk issues to business stakeholders
- Knowledge of information security risk and control frameworks, domains and principles such as ISO27001/2, PCIDSS, ISM, NIST
- Tertiary qualifications preferred however significant information security experience also acceptable
- Industry security certifications will be an advantage such as CRISC, CISSP, CISA/M, SANS etc.
