Security Analyst – SOC
This company is a global leader in Managed Security Services and employ 1,500 staff around the globe. Due to rapid expansion they now require additional headcount to join their Security Operations Centre in Sydney.
Current Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitoring, analyzing, alarming and securing the information systems to response the cyber-attacks with the help of Enterprise Security Monitoring system.
- Perform health and availability check on firewall devices (Cisco, Checkpoint and Juniper etc.) using CLI commands.
- Provide analysis of security log data from various security appliances.
- Handle security incidents in line with incident response processes within given SLA.
- Triage of incoming security incidents to determine threat level, escalating to customer contacts and other internal teams as appropriate.
- Identify persistent false positive incidents and submit for tuning upon customer’s approval.
- Conduct research on vulnerabilities and incorporate the knowledge to determine possible impact on client’s environment.
- Understand different roles and responsibilities within the SOC.
- Work as part of a global team delivering high value managed security services (MSS).
- Deliver service and support to end-users using operating automated phone software via calls.
- Integrate and distribute key information within the team.
