Security Analyst

This role involves providing consultative support to the Information Technology Division projects. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for handling security incidents and will develop appropriate documentation for supporting the IT Security function within this leading educational institution. This is a fixed-term contract role until the end of 2020 conveniently based in Sydney CBD , offering competitive rates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vulnerability management of both internal and external services
• Become a back-up and a delegate to the Senior Information Security Officer
• Assist in the management of the IT Security Office SIEM, the automated event correlation ruleset and the automated alerting of events
• Undertake risk assessments
• Help with the integration of logging and monitoring

Key requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
• Prior experience managing Fortinet firewalls, Microsoft O365, Rapid7 InsightIDR (SIEM), InsightVM (Nexpose), BigIP APM, AppSpider, Metasploit, WAF, McAfee ePO, Mimecast Email service
• Strong understanding of security incident and event management tools
• Excellent attention to detail as well as communication skills

This is a fixed-term contract opportunity for an experienced Information Security Analyst to start as soon as possible, initially until the end of 2020.
