Security Analyst
We are currently looking for an IT Security Analyst role to protect Information Technology Systems, including network, infrastructure, securing information assets, patient data, financial information, and other critical electronic information. The ICT Security Analyst will primarily aid the Information Security Manager in driving the Information security strategy and in the implementation of best practice solutions to improve the ICT security capability across the organisation. The ICT Security Analyst will conduct day to day activities to reduce overall IT systems risk through proactive identification and resolution of security risks and issues.
The IT Security Analyst under the direction of the Information Security Manager will carry out tasks to ensure that ICT security aligns with business risks and security policy and that appropriate security controls are in place. These activities will include but are not limited to;
- Undertaking application and operating system security assessments
- Support with Cybersecurity incidence response and focus on recovery and restoration
- Proactive management of information security assets in conjunction with MSS
- Conduct risk identification and assessment of the current infrastructure with support from IS Manager
- Work with the project team to deploy new application configuration and support with testing
- Work with the infrastructure team to ensure best practice with patch management and monitoring
- Work with the infrastructure team to perform and follow up on vulnerability assessment
- Create & deliver user awareness sessions to improve cybersecurity posture
- Configure and manage dashboards and reports to improve security controls
- Perform regular internal and external audits to highlight gaps in the security posture and work with remediating them
- Monitor industry threats and trends
- The role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards when it comes to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data and systems.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities;
- Establish, build and maintain highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze daily security events/incidents and take proactive actions to maintain the excellent cybersecurity posture
- Perform and respond to security audits and risk assessment.
- Act as the conduit between security teams and business units.
- Take action to educate and to raise security awareness of cybersecurity, as required.
- Work collaboratively with managers and key people across to provision cybersecurity advice
- Maintain situational awareness of cybersecurity issues through our SOC and operations teams, whilst taking appropriate action to keep business leaders informed.
Skills/Experience required;
- An undergraduate IT degree and at least 3-4 years’ experience in infrastructure management and/or security operations with an understanding of SIEM, IPDS, Firewalls, vulnerability management, system hardening (Linux and/or Windows)
- Possess a good networking knowledge and a good understanding of what protocols are used on modern networks and how they relate to security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
- Technical/security certification like CCNA, Security+, SSCP or CEH highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of information system security policy.
- Knowledge and experience working with Active Directory, Access Control, AWS/Azure, O365 security, OS hardening
- Working knowledge of shell/python/perl scripting or powershell.
- ITIL v3 certified with working knowledge of incident, change and problem management.
