Manager ICT Governance, Security & Risk
The Manager, ICT Governance, Security & Risk is responsible for leading and managing the partnership engagement with eHealth for ICT service delivery to NSW Ambulance, and for the day to day management, monitoring and reporting on the systems and processes that support governance, risk and security within ICT.
NSW Ambulance is one of the largest and most modern ambulance services in the world and is recognised as a global leader in its field. It is a division of NSW Health and provides emergency and non-emergency clinical care, retrieval and specialist patient transport services to a population of over 7 million, delivered by its 4,500 staff through 300 locations across metropolitan and regional NSW. Through its fleet of 1,500 road-based vehicles, helicopter operations, fixed wing aircraft, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles and other bespoke rescue options, NSW Ambulance provides comprehensive rapid response services across a diverse range of scenarios and geographical locations.
NSW Ambulance is now seeking to appoint a Manager, ICT Governance, Security & Risk to provide best practice governance, security and risk across a dynamic and challenging portfolio of services provided to NSW Ambulance by external I.C.T vendors.
The Manager, ICT Governance, Security & Risk will have responsibility for leading and managing partnership engagement with all external I.C.T. vendors, including the establishment and definition of service agreements and ensuring that the agreed service levels are adhered to.
Reporting to the Director ICT, Digital, Finance, Performance & Assets, this role will;
- Lead the ICT partnership with eHealth NSW ensuring service level processes and procedures, and service agreements are managed in a consistent manner.
- Develop, implement and monitor reporting mechanisms for governance, security and risk practices to support compliance and highlight areas of exposure.
- Review identified security risks and breaches to ensure the organisation’s assets and information are appropriately secured at all times
- Monitor and review compliance with risk management strategies and practices to ensure ICT- related activities are meeting minimum standards including DISP Responsibility preparation and compliance
- Ensuring adherence to NSW Ambulance ICT policy, standards and governance framework
- Promote IT governance mindset in future ICT capability investment/strategies
- Contribute to broader management decision making on behalf of NSW Ambulance ICT for health service improvement and reform, supporting NSW Health organisations to identify opportunities to integrate ICT capabilities and enhance existing service delivery models through the delivery of digitally enabled business outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective, influential, working relationships across the NSW health system and associated organisations, as well as ICT industry partners relevant to NSW Ambulance to facilitate information flow and the achievement of objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Possess a demonstratable track record of excellence in setting up C.T. governance, security and risk functions within a large and complex service environment.
- Be numerically proficient which includes experience of profit and loss budgetary management.
- Have proven capability to manage, lead and influence stakeholders and customers at a senior level to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Have excellent organisational skills with experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
