Cyber Security Operations Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Cyber Security Operations, in this role you will support the delivery of Security Operations services through the delivery of administrative and operational support for security incident management; security investigations; vulnerability assessment and management; and control remediation activities.
 
Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Be responsible for providing operational information security advice to clients and ICT stakeholders.
• Support the delivery of cyber security operations services including security monitoring, detection; incident response, and vulnerability management capabilities.
• Coordinate with third-party managed security services in support of the University’s internal cyber security capabilities.
• Support the response to cyber security incidents and the investigation of security breaches, and where necessary, coordinate and administer containment, eradication and remediation actions.
• Support and administer the assessment of the vulnerability status of the University’s ICT environments in coordination with managed security service providers.
• Coordinate the completion of remediation actions arising from cyber security breaches and/or ongoing vulnerability assessments.
• Coordinate the delivery of security assessment services to ICT and University-wide stakeholders using accredited third-party assessors.
• Maintain an awareness of the University’s internal and external environment for emerging threats and advise the Manager, Security Operations as appropriate.
• Administrate cyber security controls that are within the operational responsibility of ICT Cyber Security.
