Cyber Security Influence Lead

HEW 8, $93,548 – $105,347 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contribution. This is a full time, fixed term contract until January 2020.

About the Role
The Cyber Security Influence Lead is responsible for delivering and managing strategies, methodologies, communications campaigns, and training plans to raise the overall awareness of cyber security matters with the aim of driving a large scale cultural and behavioural change across the University’s community. This position supports the strategic Cybersecurity Uplift Program and must lead and execute end-to-end change related to program delivery. The Cyber Security Influence Lead plays a significant role in the production and continued evolution of cyber security awareness programs, cyber security governance, and reporting to influence the engagement and commitment of senior managers and business leaders. This position will also play an ambassadorial role to staff, students and external stakeholders to increase awareness of information security.

About the Person
You are an experienced change agent with experience managing and facilitating the change experience. Your outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities, including advanced skills in all visual communication design formats, including graphics and video for maximum impact, as well as having the ability to simplify complex messages for the everyday users. You will have an extensive understanding of information security systems and process, and be able to develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel strategic education plans designed to build awareness, enhance culture and change behaviours. You are proficient at identifying and engaging key stakeholders and influencers to assist in enhancing culture. You will ideally have an understanding of major factors influencing teaching and learning development in ICT as they relate to an educational environment, though this is not critical to commence the role.

Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Responsible for the vision, development and execution of all Cybersecurity related change, training awareness and communications services, including detailed best practices
  • Coordinate with Cybersecurity Uplift Program Manager to meet program specific change, training and communications required to enhance overall security awareness
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to drive cultural, behavioural and process changes across VU’s IT and Business projects and operational activities.
