The opportunity

We are seeking a Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist. You will be responsible for evaluating computing and information security risks, threats and vulnerabilities. The role is based in Williamtown, NSW.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and implement security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures for the Wedgetail Ground Support Segments team
  • Analyse, respond to, mitigate, and document computing security event
  • Verify security parameter placement
  • Provide computing security consultation, education and awareness, and compliance/audit support
  • Respond to internal/external governing body requests
  • Deliver sound and timely information security design advice and solutions to meet security control intent in support of engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, estimation and task/resource management practices

 

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of Australian defence security framework under the Defence Security Authority (DSA) and the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).
  • Experience in an engineering or aviation environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience.
  • Sound information security knowledge across the following environments:
    • Familiarity with Solaris Client-Server systems.
    • Network connectivity and configuration
    • Windows Client-server systems.
    • Support and maintenance of in-house hardware/software systems.
    • Engineering Change Management processes
  • Industry recognised information security qualification (CISSP, CISM, ISO 270001, IRAP, DRAP, etc.) and experience.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements. The preferred applicant will need to undergo a Top Secret Negative Vetting 2 security clearance. You must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and MUST have lived in Australia, or have a checkable background, for at least the preceding 5 years.
