Cyber Security Analyst

We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our organisation and drive the execution of our cyber security strategy.

You will be a primary resource working on cyber security matters within the organisation. You will work hand in hand with key stakeholders to deliver various cyber security initiatives and projects, while also playing a key role in day to day cyber security activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the execution of the HAMBS cyber security strategy, engaging in the delivery of key cyber projects.
• Engaging with IT staff in their day-to-day activities and providing assistance from a cyber security perspective.
• Ensuring cyber security threats are actively monitored and managed.
• Reviewing information security alerts and performing security event analysis.
• Assisting in the management of information security incidents, including investigation, reporting and recommendations for improvement of controls.
• Performing regular compliance controls testing across multiple systems and network solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• High-quality customer service with service desk and incident management experience.
• Experience in cyber security, in an operational technology environment.
• Knowledge of contemporary IT & cyber security practices and products (including cloud-based technologies).
• Knowledge of encryption technologies, ethical hacking, penetration testing and vulnerability assessment techniques.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical data and information for non-technical audiences.
• Significant experience with SIEM and/or log management products and in querying available logs to apply contextual analysis (desirable).

You will also need experience in relevant IT technologies, including but not limited to, next-generation firewall solutions including IPS/IDS networking security technologies, anti-virus and anti-malware solutions, windows operating systems, security monitoring and alerting.
